Links and Resources

Here are some resources on anxiety and agoraphobia that I've found to be useful during my healing journey:

  • National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI): Is a nonprofit organization dedicated to raising awareness on various mental health conditions plaguing millions of Americans. They provide resources and support, including free group therapy sessions in different states around the country.
     

  • The Holistic Psychologist: Dr. Nicole LaPera has dedicated her work to help people get to the root of their mental and emotional afflictions. She provides many free resources, including meditations, to help folks throughout their healing process.
     

  • The Tapping Solution: This is an effective meditation method founded by the Ortner siblings which has been used my millions of people around the world, to help heal them from different challenges, including anxiety.
     

  • Dare Response: The Founder of "Dare" is Barry McDonagh and he created this program to help people overcome anxiety and panic attacks.
     

  • Psychology Today: Whenever you are ready to begin therapy or seek psychiatric help, use the database on this website to find a professional in your area. You can filter your search by the type of health insurance you have or if you're seeking a specific modality.
     

  • The Agoraphobia Project: This is a new nonprofit organization in New York City dedicated to helping people dealing with agoraphobia to recover.
